Nora Ephron, I miss you already

What a role model— a really hard act to follow. She was a feminist and she was funny, an oxymoron, according to the mainstream that didn’t understand why women became so active in the 70s. Ephron moved the second wave of feminism forward with her dry wit, skewering hypocrisy and chronicling the rampant misogyny of the time.

“I’ll have what she’s having.” We can never forget the iconic scene in “When Harry Met Sally.”

So smart, so witty, so real. She was the same in person. I had the good fortune to meet her at J-School when she came to our seminar.

A big loss for all of us.
