Fathers and grandsons

SDT-2013-03-Modern-Parenthood-01The roles of mothers and fathers have been merging over the past four and a half decades. This graph from the Pew Research Center shows that mothers today spend more time caring for their children than they did 45 years ago. The time fathers spend helping with the housework and childcare is about two and a half times what it was then.

I’ve written Today’s Sons Are Teaching Their Fathers to flesh out the figures with the stories of real people.
